Who can carry out teeth whitening procedures?
Teeth whitening products were confirmed as being
'cosmetics' on the 28th of June 2001 by the House of Lords ruling which took place in the
case of Optident Limited and The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry. This means that
they fall under the European Union Cosmetics Directive (implemented in the U.K. by the U.K.
Cosmetic Products (safety) Regulations 1996. Tooth whitening is therefore legally
a COSMETIC procedure and NOT a DENTAL one.
The legal definition of a 'cosmetic' product is as
follows: "any substance or preparation intended for placing in contact with the various
external part of the human body, or with the teeth and mucous membranes of the oral cavity,
with a view, exclusively, or principally, to cleaning them, perfuming them, or protecting
them, in order to keep them in good condition, change their appearance, or correct body
odours"

Why is your price one of the lowest around?
To answer that question it may help to make an analogy with
a product that we purchased a few months ago.
In November of 2009 we paid nearly £500 for a manual and 1
C.D., the actual cost to produce these would have been less than £20, however the 'knowledge' we
were buying via the manual and C.D. had, for us at least, a massive 'perceived value' so we paid
a high price, relative to the actual cost of the material. But what we bought put us 'ahead of
the game' so for us, it was worth while. Someone else could just as easily have sold that for
£75, and to be truthful if we'd been able to come across an entrepreneur who had been selling
the manual and C.D. at that lower price we would have snapped their hands off.
Teeth whitening is no different - we could have gone down
the route of charging a few hundred pounds for our service - but then we would just be like
everyone else. As is the case with the description of the manual and C.D. above, it is important
to remember - the person who sells the same product for £75 when compared to the businessman who
sells it for nearly £500 ISN'T selling an inferior product - he or she is merely
marketing it in a DIFFERENT way. We have simply
decided to market our teeth whitening service at a MUCH lower - but still profitable price -
albeit a lower profit - but that is our choice. The reason? To be different from EVERYONE else,
otherwise it becomes very 'hit and miss' as to whether we as a company may even be considered by
the prospective customer considering teeth whitening.
The knock on effect to having more customers at a lower
price is that we increase our customer base more rapidly from the inevitable 'recommends' which
tend to follow - one look at our testimonial page will show you that friends, acquaintances and
colleagues of previous clients are being recommended to use our service based on the excellent
results our customers are receiving - so for us, offering the service at a lower price has
proved the correct course of action to take.
We stand by our statement immediately below:
You will not find a better - more effective teeth whitening system ANYWHERE - that's
GUARANTEED! How can we be so certain? Because teeth whitening companies tend to use similar
products - the ONLY difference is how much they charge for them.

I notice
you offer two forms of treatment, the mobile service and the D.I.Y. service.
Why?
Our mobile service is extremely effective, one
look at our 'client comment' page will show the level of customer satisfaction we achieve.
That said, we have had a number of enquiries from previous clients asking about the
most effective way of MAINTAINING their whiter smile at the lowest possible cost. We
researched a large number of suppliers from around the world, including the U.S.A. Canada and
Europe, we obtained several kits from different sources and gave them out to volunteers,
the best AND most consistent results came from the company who is our present
supplier.
As you will see from the genuine, untouched photograph
on our Enhancer Product page we were impressed by not only the result, but also the
quality of the product and its presentation. Yes, it was one of the most expensive, so much
so that its recommended retail price of £99 exceeds our mobile service cost of £89,
however we have negotiated a substantial discount by bulk ordering and OUR price for the
D.I.Y 'Enhancer' treatment is £29.95 if bought as a 'stand alone product'
however if you have obtained our Power Whitening Treatment you will be offered the
kit at £20 on the day the treatment takes place (£22 inc P&P if ordered at a
later date)

I've seen whitening pens advertised elsewhere as a
'free' gift if you have teeth whitening completed, are these similar or as good as your D.I.Y
kit?
We could supply whitening pens too, they're dirt cheap
to buy and as a 'marketing ploy'... well most people like something for nothing don't
they?
Why do we not give them away? They're a bit like
lipstick, well, less so actually, at least lipstick is on the outside of your mouth.
Whitening pens place the colour on your teeth, which are obviously right
inside your mouth and therefore constantly in touch with the mouth's natural lubricant
- saliva, which very quickly wipes it off, so constant re-touching is required - hence
the analogy with lipstick.
Besides, if you think about it, why would a company
offering an effective teeth whitening service want to offer an independent
product to touch up their client's teeth after having their teeth
whitened?
We pride ourselves in not having to resort to such
offers, which are nothing more than marketing ploys - in essence, something 'seemingly' for
nothing - but to be blunt - useless in terms of being able to give you any real
benefit.
We regard them in a similar vein to teeth
whitening products available on eBay for a few pounds.
We will not supply our customers with products which
will not help them and are there merely to make it look as if you are getting a bargain. Our
D.I.Y. product WORKS, see the untouched picture on our D.I.Y. Product
page. Some people have wanted to buy it as a 'stand alone' product, however it was
designed and is primarily sold as a 'top up' to the mobile
service.
The two in unison give you the BEST results that money
can buy. We sincerely believe that no matter how much more you are quoted elsewhere, you
will NOT obtain a whiter smile. A recent advertisement in the Sunderland Echo newspaper
quoted a dentist as saying that he only used trays and an office based light system, similar
to ours to obtain the best results for his clients. We agree.

I rang up another teeth whitening company who was more
expensive than you and when I mentioned your companies name and asked why they were more
expensive than you, the person I spoke to said they used better products than you. Is that
true?
The above is a genuine question put to us by a
female enquirer in November 2010. Let us refrain from what we could have said,
and allow diplomacy to rule instead. As was pointed out to the young lady, we
are not in the habit of talking to competitors about our operation, although we do receive
calls which probably do emanate from competitors from time to time. You
can usually spot them because the caller generally claims that they are researching
teeth whitening and seem remarkably well informed about the products on offer in the
marketplace and they more or less 'tell' you what they believe you are using
rather than 'asking'. Many questions then follow, but you never hear from them again.
As intimated, we do not talk directly to competitors, therefore saying "we use
better products" means they are exaggerating (I'm being 'kind' using that word) or they've rang
us and used a little subterfuge to elicit information from us by pretending to be a
customer.
If they've done the latter they will know only too well that we use what THEY
use - there are few products which work effectively to whiten people's teeth, no one has
access to something 'different' or 'better'.
The REAL reason that someone is more expensive is either a) their overheads are
high and they have to recover them from 'someone' - guess who that 'someone' is? If you
answered "me - the customer" you've got it in one! Or b) They KNOW that people will pay a
premium to effectively enhance their appearance, so because they KNOW that, they will charge
what the market will bear.
Sometimes it's a mixture of 'a' and 'b'. Is that a bad thing? No, it's just
business, MANY things are sold WAY over the odds, WHY? Because people WILL pay, it's called the
law of supply and demand.
Houses and cars are a prime example, many homes are over priced based on
location, the owners KNOW they can charge a premium - so they do.
Supply and the demand will ultimately decide the cost that people are
charged for a product or service
We CHOOSE to market OUR service at a REALISTIC price and NOT by providing an
inferior product - we all invariably use the same product, or a derivative, so to say
someone else charges more because they use 'better' products is simply not true.
If it happens to you, ask the person at the other end "what product DO Smile
Sensation use"? Followed by, "how do you know that"? "What product do YOU use"? "Why and how is
it 'better"? Finally, ask if they would have any objections if you rang us to verify their
answers and you'll get back to them. We'd be as interested as you in their
reply.
Competition we don't mind, we just ask for genuine reasons why people
charge more than we do.
How long does the Mobile Service treatment take?
With Smile Sensation U.K. you only require 1 short visit. The actual
treatment itself takes around 60 minutes. During the process you simply sit back and relax by
listening to music or watching T.V. if you wish.
With the use of our latest technology, your teeth should look noticeably
whiter for up to 24 months, this can be longer, however your own lifestyle (following the
treatment) will ultimately determine the longevity of the result.

Does it hurt?
With traditional systems used by dentists and some
other teeth whitening companies patients could often complain of having extremely sensitive
teeth for several weeks. Smile Sensation U.K. uses a new and revolutionary system direct from
the United States which eliminates this uncomfortable feeling.
L.E.D. verses Lazer and U.V. Teeth
Whitening - what's the difference?
L.E.D whitening is the most advanced teeth
whitening system available today. You can have the beautiful smile that you want in just 1
hour - or less. Previously anyone interested in whitening their teeth had to rely on home
kits or lazer,
The introduction of the patented L.E.D.
whitening technique has improved on these former methods by increasing customer
comfort - there is no heat emitted because our L.E.D. system does not
use Ultra Violet (U.V.) light which can generate uncomfortable
warmth.
Our L.E.D system gives you a whiter smile
in an hour or less.

You can find the order buttons by clicking on
the 'Price List' tab at the top of this page.
How does the Smile Sensation U.K. Mobile System system work?
The surface of your teeth contains millions of
microscopic pores, over the years, additives contained within food and drink, as well as tobacco
etc, penetrate these pores and cause the tooth enamel to change colour. Teeth whitening gel is
gently applied via a small brush to the teeth, the gel is activated and begins its work when a
soft 'cool' L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diode) is focused on your teeth, This has the effect of
removing the staining from the pores and effectively deep cleans your teeth.
Is LED whitening the same as teeth whitening kits that can be purchased from
shops or eBay?
Most certainly not! Recently, Trading Standards in
the United Kingdom found that 14 out of 17 different whitening kits which they tested, actually
contained illegal amounts of chemicals that could have caused harm. Smile Sensation
U.K. only uses legal levels. With the Smile Sensation U.K. 'cool' L.E.D. mobile treatment,
it's a simple 60 minute procedure.
How much
lighter will my teeth go with your mobile service?
This varies from person to person, even someone
who has yellow teeth will generally have a different shade of yellow when compared to
another client. Other individuals with white teeth will almost certainly find someone else's
that are whiter, or less white than their own, so it all depends on what 'base' shade we are
starting from.
We also have to take into account what has
caused the change in colour, is it genetic? In other words do the entire family have similar
coloured teeth, or is there a nice set of white teeth just waiting to get out but have been
gradually hidden from view because of poor cleansing, or dietary habits, such as drinking
lots of fizzy drinks, currys, red wine, and of course the worse offender of all - smoking?
Certain drugs such as tetracycline can also cause changes in teeth colour. Historically the
shading change can be anywhere from 4 to 12 times lighter, depending on the 'base'
colour we are working with and the other factors mentioned within this
section.

Please note: The image above is meant to give
an indication of what can be attained by using our system, it is NOT meant to indicate a
'typical' result that EVERYONE will attain. Differing levels of whitening will occur
between clients (as stated in the text above this image) depending on such factors as age,
genetics, whether the client has smoked, the existing base colour we are presented with
and possible use of various antibiotics and other G.P. supplied
medications.
Who undertakes the treatment?
Your treatment will be undertaken by fully
qualified and experienced teeth whitening professionals, who specialise in advanced L.E.D.
teeth whitening, they are certificated and carry full insurance cover.

Does whitening work on false teeth, veneers, crowns etc?
Over time the colour of bridges (false teeth)
veneers and crowns fade just like your own teeth. Our advanced procedure takes them back to
their original colour. In common with procedures carried out by other teeth whitening
specialists the aforementioned products, being man made, can only be cleaned - not
lightened, therefore replacements may be required.
Does whitening damage the enamel of the teeth?
Published research has shown that there is no
risk to tooth enamel.
Is it safe?
There are no known cases of adverse reactions with our
product, it has been used extensively throughout the world and is tried and tested.

Are there any other reasons why you offer a lower cost?
Yes, we have
invested in the latest technology, which significantly reduces the treatment time. We are also
able to negotiate significant savings with suppliers, due to our high volume of treatments
performed, further, because we also come to you in your own home and do not utilise an office
for the procedure itself we are also able to reduce our costs in this way
too.
